New Games Company Opens In Thurles
Atom Split Games has just opened its new base of operations in the Thurles Enterprise Centre on the LIT Tipperary campus with assistance from LIT and Enterprise Ireland.
The company was founded by two current students; Martell Malone and Michael Murphy, a graduate of the games design course in Thurles; James Daly and a graduate of the University of Sunderland, Dave Kelly.
Having opened its doors in May 2012 it has now created 4 additional part time positions and is currently looking for a number of interns in art design and programming. They hope to increase staff numbers to an additional two full time positions in early 2013.
Atom Split Games is a cross platform developer of games with a focus on the kid’s educational market. It is currently developing for Apple, Android and Microsoft Windows 8 mobile and tablet devices. This is a growing market and gives them an opportunity to add fun and creativity to educational titles.
