Nenagh Town Plan Adopted

THE Draft Nenagh Town and Environs Development Plan 2013-2019 has been adopted by Nenagh Town Council. However, Fine Gael’s Cllr Tom Moylan requested that the plan remain on the council agenda for the foreseeable future.

“I think we need to scale down our plan and come up with four or five objectives to concentrate on,” Cllr Moylan said.

“There is a short life time left in this town council. I think we need to pick five or six keys points that we want to see achieved in the next 18 months,” Cllr Moylan added, before re-addressing his idea of developing a “town team”.

At the December meeting of Nenagh Town Council Cllr Moylan suggested the initiation of a town team which would represented all the stakeholders in the town centre and help to champion the town centre.

“We should look at developing a town team - some kind of forum that is operational by the time the town council is finished,” Cllr Moylan said.

“I propose that we leave it on the agenda, get our heads down and work to make it happen,” Cllr Moylan added.
