Nenagh Arts Centre Spring Programme

Music, theatre and film lovers are in for an exciting spring with the announcement of the new season’s Nenagh Arts Centre programme. Music features strongly with a visit form the legendary Furey Brothers and Davey Arthur on February 16th, Jerry Fish on March the 2nd and the launch of local act Silent Noise Parade’s album on March 23rd.

The theatre section of the programme includes If I told You from local theatre practitioners Aoife Carry and Joanne Quinn on January 26th, Cyclone Theatre with the Shakespeare Sessions in late January and comedians The Nualas bringing their own personal brand of comedy to the venue on the 30th of March.

Film also features strongly with the best in world cinema and documentary. Italian movie I’m Not Scared, German film Barbara and French film Holy Motors complete a trio of European films being screened. Jack Kerouac’s On the Road has finally been filmed with some skill by Walter Salles and it screens in March.

The centre also has secured the rights to screen American documentary Detropia which looks at the devastating effects of the recession on the city of Detroit. The film programme is topped off with Nenagh’s Silent Film Festival screenings and workshops during February.
