Motorcyclist Dies in Borrisokane Crash

A Motorcyclist has died following a crash involving another vehicle, between Borrisokane and Portumna.

Gardai in Borrisokane are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N65 (Portumna Rd) at the junction near Killeen on the outside of Borrisokane, Co. Tipperary. The collision occurred on Thursday afternoon (January 31) at about 12.30pm.

This stretch of road has now been reopened to traffic following completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

A male motorcyclist in his 20’s was fatally injured when he was involved in a collision with a car. The driver of the car was uninjured. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.
