Lowry Calls On C&C To Engage With Gleeson’s Staff

Following the confirmation that the proposed acquisition by C&C Limited of M&J Gleeson Limited has been cleared by the Competition Authority, Deputy Michael Lowry has called on C& C to meet with the work force in Borrisoleigh.

Deputy Lowry stated;

“I have been in contact with C& C management requesting an immediate meeting be held with staff. I am calling on the company to meet with the entire workforce and to outline the commercial strategy behind the takeover.

The staff at Gleeson’s have been very loyal and dedicated and are entitled to have the uncertainty surrounding the takeover lifted. C&C needs to set out its future intentions in respect of administration, manufacturing, bottling, distribution and all of the other functions currently conducted at the Borrisoleigh site.”
