HSE And Government TDs Move To Ease Hospital Fears

THE HSE and North Tipperary Government Deputies moved this week to allay fears over the closure of Nenagh Hospital’s single corononary care bed that was announced last Thursday.

The facility is due to close on Monday, September 17, with patients being assessed in Limerick.

The closure of the high-dependency unit, which handles cardiology / medical problems, has been condemned by Opposition TD Michael Lowry as well Fianna Fail’s Cllr John Carroll and Cllr Seamus Morris of Sinn Fein. Nenagh Twon Council this Monday passed a motion urging that the decision be postponed. See this weeks Tipperary Star for full details.
