Hospital Beds ‘Confusion’

Cllr Seamus Morris

Cllr Seamus Morris

SINN Féin’s Cllr Séamus Morris told the September meeting of Nenagh Town Council that when he raised the issue of the cardiology beds set aside for patients from North Tipperary at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick, “nobody knew what beds I was talking about”.

Cllr Morris refuted any claims that he had refused to visit the hospital following an invitation made by Cllr Virginia O’Dowd, Labour.

“There seems to be a lot of confusion about these beds,” Cllr Morris added when discussing his visit to Limerick.

Since Cllr O’Dowd was not at the meeting Fianna Fáil’s Cllr Tom Mulqueen suggested that the matter remain on the agenda until Cllr O’Dowd was “in a position to respond”.
