Fethard Artist On New TV Series

New TG4 Art series ‘Dallamullóg’ concludes this Sunday February 17th at 8.30pm with clay artist Doirin Saurus, from Fethard, taking on the challenge of turning Dublin based acupuncturist Mairead Ni Chonghaile into an artist.

The series follows six tradespeople from a variety of backgrounds as they try to convince an art critic that their creations are the work of a professional artist. The fifth episode of the series, which screened last Sunday night, featured public artist Ceara Conway taking on the challenge of turning Donegal electrician Pól Gallagher into a public artist.

Other mentors included in the series are stone sculptor Cliodhna Cussen, wood sculptor Séighean Ó’Draoi, spray paint artist Liam de Frinse and stained glass artist Peadar Lamb. Dallamullog concludes on Sunday 17th February 2013 at 8.30pm on TG4. Repeated the following Tuesday at 11.30pm.
