mentoring, management development, supports for websites, exhibitions, trade fairs and should be your first port of call if you need any of the aforementioned. The Tipperary North County Enterprise Board is running a series of training programmes over the coming months targeting owners/managers looking to improve the performance of their business or thinking about starting one.
The programmes on offer include Mentors, Company Development, Sales & Marketing, Social
Media, Primary Food Safety, Food Safety & HACCP, Advanced Food Enterprise Programme, Getting Irish Business On-Line etc.
North County Enterprise Board is running an initiative developed by Blaise Brosnan MRI. This programme has been devised to assist owner/managers of businesses who have suffered badly during the recession but who are still in business and ready to dust themselves down and prepare for the next stage of their natural business cycle. This programme would also greatly benefit previous participants of Management Development programmes and consists of 10 modules and two confidential one to one mentor sessions.
The ‘Accelerate – Driving Your Business Forward’, Management Development Programme
designed by the Network of County & City Enterprise Boards will be repeated again this
year. This initiative is aimed at existing firms, and will involve a mix of 6 intensive group training workshops and 6 x one-to-one on-site trouble shooting sessions. Participation on this programme will be preceded by a valuable financial diagnosis of your business.
The Board is also offering a number of programmes for those thinking about of starting a
business looking to self employment as an alternative to unemployment. These courses include: a ten week Start Your Own Business Programme, a 1 day Start Your Own Business Bootcamp and a one day Bookkeeping Using Excel Course. The Board works closely with the Department of Social Protection and unemployed individuals contemplating business start up or already in receipt of the Back to Work Allowance may qualify for free places on the Board’s business skills training courses.
A number of workshops and seminars have also been scheduled for early 2013 including a
Microfinance Seminar which will be run in Nenagh next week in conjunction with Network
North Tipperary and repeated in Thurles on March 13 for a general audience in conjunction
with Thurles Chamber. A Motivational Seminar with Kevin Kelly will take place in April in the Horse & Jockey; the Annual “Who To Talk To” Expo has been planned for early May at the Thurles Chamber Enterprise Centre followed in the first half of the year by specialist seminars on Intellectual Property, Patents & Copyright and the BeSMART initiative with the Health & Safety Authority.
