CBS Celebrations Conclude in Roscrea

A plaque to commemorate the 38 years of service in secondary education of Roscrea CBS, 1961-1999, was erected recently by kind permission on the school building, now Roscrea Education Centre.

The erection of the plaque was met from the proceeds of “Lest We Forget: A Roscrea CBS Anthology” by Liam Doran, published in September 2011. A similar plaque was erected last year at St.Cronan’s Church.The plaque was blessed by Very Rev.Tom Corbett,P.P.Rev.Bro.Jim Donovan, former Superior of the school, and Bro.Pat Madigan, former teacher, attended, with former teachers and past students.
