Cashel Improvement Works

A programme of work to upgrade the public toilets at the Rock car park is about to commence and has been welcomed by Councillor Maribel Wood who raised the matter at Town Council meetings. The revamping will also provide better services for people with disabilities and will be partly funded from the annual contribution made to the Town Council by the Office of Public Works as they have no public conveniences on the Rock.

Meanwhile, improvements to footpaths in areas like John Street, Main Street and Friar Street and the commencement of major improvements on the Clonmel Road, with a new footpath and public lighting between Ard Mhuire and Saint Cormacs Cemetery, are all welcome development in recessionary times, he says, while hoping that a programme of similar works can be implimented in other areas of town before the years end.
