11 Beds to re-Open in Thurles Hospital

The health Service Executive has announced that 11 respite beds are to be re-opened in the Thurles Community Hospital of the Assumption.

The beds are included in the Service Level Agreement for 2013 and it is anticipated that up to ten members of staff will be recruited to facilitate the move. Junior Minister Alan Kelly (Labour) said he was delighted to have been involved in the securing of the beds Cllr Cllr Seamus Hanafin (Fianna Fail) paid tribute to the Community Hospital of the Assumption Action Group for their efforts under the chairmanship of Mr Sean Fogarty.
