Want to support young people?

Foróige’s Big Brother Big Sister or BBBS is an internationally recognised youth mentoring programme that forms supportive friendships for young people inspiring them to brighter futures.

Foróige is currently recruiting both male and female volunteers in County Tipperary to be a Big Brother or Sister. You could make a big difference to the life of a young person, supporting them and being the positive, strong role model they might need. Jessica (13) says: “BBBS has helped me in many ways. Each week I learn new skills with my Big Sister, like jewellery making and baking cookies.” In 2010, 1,622 young people were involved in the Big Brother Big Sister programme in Ireland, this rose to 2,324 young people in 2011. That’s a massive 70% increase in participants! If this role is something that appeals to you, please contact Richie Bowens on 0860299049 or email richie.bowens@foroige.ie. Foróige’s Big Brother Big Sister is “Supported by The Tony Ryan Fund for Tipperary at The Community Foundation for Ireland”.
