A protest rally took place in Tipperary Town on Saturday, (July 26) by Tipperary people who want to speak out about the attacks on Palestinians by Israel and to ask the people of Tipperary to boycott all Israeli products.

Other marches, organised by the IPSC (Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign) took place in other parts of the country.

Gerard Lawless from Tipperary Town organised the protest with Cllr. Martin Browne (SF) and the IPSC (Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign).

“I’ve been watching this war for a number of years. The last time that Israel went into Gaza I was horrified by what really happened but now it’s just slaughter,” said Mr Lawless. Tony Black and Colin English from Tipperary were part of the protest. “I’m here to support the boycott and to show our public opinion and that it’s not just the government’s decision that this should continue to happen,” said Colin.
