Templemore road and village funding is welcomed

Cllr Eddie Moran has confirmed significant funding from North Tipperary County Council for road improvement works in the Templemore area.

He welcomed what he described as a “substantial and much needed investment” for Drom village and the Barnane area.

“A sum of €48,000 has been made available from North Tipperary County Council for roads works in Drom village, through the village enhancement scheme. These funds will go towards the improvement of roads in the centre of the village and will greatly improve the appearance and façade of the village. Works will commence shortly and I have no doubt that these improvements will be of huge benefit to all residents and road users in that area.”

“Furthermore an allocation of €57,000 has been made available for roads in Barnane. This funding will go towards general repairs in some of the worst affected areas of Barnane parish. Given the recent adverse weather conditions a huge amount of damage has been done to our rural roads and with this funding much needed repairs will now be possible. I have been petitioning the council on both of these issues for some time,” he said.
