South Tipperary ICA is holding its Annual Walk for Breast Cancer Research on Sunday, May 11th, in Clonmel.
ICA members are asked to meet at Clonmel Town Hall at 2.30pm. They will walk the popular ‘Slí na Sláinte’ route. ICA members have been busy collecting sponsorship over the past few weeks and all donations will be greatly welcomed. Proceeds from the walk will go to the Breast Cancer Research Centre in Galway; a cause close to the hearts of many of our members. Over the years, ICA nationally has contributed up to 1.5 million euro to Breast Cancer research in Ireland, and South Tipperary ICA is very proud of this record. Mrs. Peggy O’Brien, President of South Tipperary ICA sends best wishes to all the walkers and would like to thank all ICA members and the general public for their generous sponsorship of this worthwhile cause – Breast Cancer Research. South Tipperary Federation was founded in 1941 and currently has 23 Guilds.
