Roscrea burglaries being investigated by Tipperary Gardai

The Gardai in Nenagh are investigating two burglaries in the Roscrea area over the past week. In the first incident thieves broke into Roscrea Golf Club in the early hours of January 5 by cutting a slab away from the ceiling near the strongroom.

During the burglary, the club’s alarm was ripped from the wall and a window broken.

The thieves cut the door off the safe with an angle grinder. It is unclear whether or not they took anything from the safe.

However, they also broke into the greenkeeper’s shed and stole a chainsaw among other tools.

Meanwhile, a house was broken into at Parkmore, Roscrea, on January 6 and a number of items were taken. The occupant returned home at around 10.30pm to find the house ransacked.
