Rehab Chief Angela Kerins has been in the news recently regarding details of her salary.

Of course, Angela is a Cashelwoman, born and bred, daughter of Jackie (Max) and Feenie McCarthy, Ard Mhuire. Angela was educated in the Presentation Sisters primary and secondary schools on Friar Street. On leaving school she went to England to train as a nurse, where she became inspired to campaign for better pay for student nurses resulting in her photo appearing in a London Daily. Called back to this side of the Irish Sea, she completed her training in Midwifery in a Dublin hospital. On qualifying Angela worked in the US and Middle East where she helped set up a facility for people with disabilities. In addition to her role within Rehab, Angela holds a number of key positions, including Chair of the National Disability Authority; NGO Joint Committee on Human Rights; and is a member of IBEC and BCI.
