Bugsy Malone kicks off in The Premier Hall on Wednesday evening. Don’t miss it.

No, it’s not some form of summer madness invading the psyche of the youth. Rather, it’s Phoenix Productions and they are embarking upon the brilliant Bugsy Malone in The Premier Hall, starting tonight (Wednesday) and running until Saturday inclusive.

If there’s one word to describe Bugsy Malone, it’s slapstick and those who are fortunate enough to attend this magical musical will be highly entertained for the two hours or so. The plot follows the rivalry between two half witted - quarter witted even - street gangs, with Bugsy, a washed-up, well intentioned, one time boxer stepping in to take control of Fat Sams gang and give Dandy Dan and his boys what they deserve.

Of course, we have come to expect the highest of standards from Phoenix Productions following a string of top class shows. They go the extra mile to ensure that there is a wow factor with shows such as Phantom of the Opera, High School Musical, Jesus Christ Superstar and Grease being a number which jump immediately to mind. And, the good news for patrons is that Bugsy Malone will be no different. Expect the unexpected and your expectations will be satisfied.

This most certainly is a show for all the family and Phoenix Productions have tailored their ticket pricing to ensure that this is accessible for everyone . The tickets can be booked at Hogan’s, Liberty Square, Thurles or at 087 944 92 44. Book early to avoid disappointment, Tickets will also be available at the door on the night of each production.

So, why not get along to The Premier Hall this week and support this fabulously committed group of teenagers and their magnificent production team led by Gerard O’Brien.
