North Tipperary County Council warns against bogus callers

North Tipperary County Council have been advised that bogus callers are calling to houses in the Dromineer and Ballycommon areas of North Tipperary claiming to be from the council or a contractor acting on North Tipperary County Councils behalf.

All householders are urged to be vigilant and not to permit access to their property to anyone, purporting to work on behalf of North Tipperary County Council, unless official identification is shown by the caller.

If the householder is not satisfied as to the identity of the caller, they should advise the caller that they are contacting North Tipperary County Council at 067-44500 to verify their identity and to confirm that the County Council is in fact conducting works requiring entry to their property.

Where the callers identity cannot be verified, then the householder should refuse entry to their property and contact the Gardai immediately.
