New Dementia Project for Tipp

The five steps to living well with Dementia in South Tipperary is a new and innovative Dementia project.

It provides information, support and services for every stage of the dementia journey and helps people with dementia to live full, enriched and happy lives at home and within their own communities for as long as possible. This project is led by a consortium of people with various interests in the area of dementia. This includes people with dementia, carers, Alzheimer’s Association, Carer’s Association, Muintir na Tire, the South Tipperary Community & Voluntary Forum, a G.P. representative and HSE staff. On the Friday and Saturday of the Tipperary Festival (July 11th/12th) the Dementia Project will be based in the Mes Enfants Shop (by kind permission of Ken Kingston) on the Main Street, Tipperary Town. Anyone requiring any information on the project is welcome to call in and just pick up a leaflet. Contact Christina Morrissey the Project Co-Ordinator, on 087-0550050.
