Some roads in Nenagh are starting to “look like the moon,” according to Cllr Conor Delaney. The Fine Gael councillor said that the bad weather had caused problems at the railway bridge, on Silver Street and outside the mart.

The Fine Gael councillor said that the bad weather had caused problems at the railway bridge, on Silver Street and outside the mart. He asked if these areas could be patched.

However, Cllr Hughie McGrath, Ind, suggested that what was required was a full overlay on these streets.

Meanwhile, Cllr Tommy Morgan, Ind, praised town engineer Peter Fee for his “perseverence” in getting work started on the footpath outside Drummin Village on Borrisokane road.

Cllr Seamus Morris, SF, was told that the council’s water services were looking into sewerage backing up in St Joseph’s Park
