The purpose of this meeting is to convey to ALL breeders the need to lobby their respective election candidates in advance of the Local and European Elections, which take place on 23rd May 2014. All breeders are encouraged to attend in order to equip themselves with the relevant information required to protect their thoroughbred industry
Industry expert Elizabeth Headon will highlight the need for breeders to lobby local government candidates on behalf of their thoroughbred industry prior to local and European elections, which take place on 23rd May 2014. IFAC Tax Consultant Declan McEvoy will address the importance of prudent stud farm financial planning for all breeders and areas covered will include the advantages of a good set of business accounts, projection planning and land transfer to the next generation.
Brochures with key lobbying messages and salient industry statistics will be distributed to all attendees. All local Election Candidates, Councillors, TD’s and MEP’ s from each electoral area will be invited to attend and be encouraged to promote the value of the industry in their areas during their campaigns
