Fallen trees wreak havoc across west Tipperary following storm

AA Roadwatch reported a lot of debris on the N24 Tipperary/Limerick Rd near Ballykisteen Golf Club on Friday morning, while there were also a number of trees down on the local road between Cappaghwhite and Donohill.

The Cashel/Clonmel Rd (R688) is blocked at Rosegreen due to fallen power cables. This may take some time to clear. The Thurles/Limerick Rd (R503) is blocked near Ballycahill due to a fallen tree. The Dunkerrin to Templemore Rd is blocked by a fallen tree. The Knocklofty to Clonmel Rd (R665) is blocked at Kilnamack West due to a fallen tree.

Meanwhile, massive power outages have been reported in towns across Tipperary, including Nenagh, Roscrea and Cashel this morning. The ESB have said most areas will have their power restored by the end of the day.
