Well known Thurles photographer Eamon Brennan has had one of his fabulous photographs included in the prestigious Trident Holiday Homes Calendar which is out at the present time.

Eamon, who has captured some amazing images down through the years, was on hand at nearby Cabragh Wetlands to picture the sun rishing over the grass like water of the lake. And, the stunning picture really grasped the beauty of the natural amenity which is widely visited by thousands each year. Now, the wetlands will be on show in the homes of thousands throughout the country thanks to Eamon’s efforts.

Trident Holiday Homes, the leading cottage and holiday rental company in Ireland announced the winners of its annual photography competition, seeking photographs of Ireland for its 2014 calendar, this week. More than 18,000 of their loyal customers will receive the calendar.

Every year, Trident Holiday Homes produces a detailed family holiday planner featuring photographs which capture the beauty of Ireland. Trident offers holidaymakers the opportunity to capture those magic holiday moments on camera for a chance to win a holiday with Trident Holiday Homes. Photographers of all abilities were eligible to enter the competition and entries had to be in before 14th September 2013.

The winning photographs featured in the 2014 calendar were chosen from more than 600 entrants including Eamons photo.

Commenting on the competition, Jacinta Doolan, Director of Trident Holiday Homes said “Every year we produce a calendar, which is really well received by all of our customers. We have designed it as a unique holiday planner, showing school and bank holidays, advance notice of festivals and events and details of our special offers all year. What makes it so unique is the fact that we are seeing Ireland through our customers’ eyes. They have truly captured the beauty of Ireland in their images. We were overwhelmed by the response from entrants and we are really grateful to the winners for sharing their pictures with us all.”

She continued “Experience has shown us that the old saying ‘a picture paints a thousand words’ is true! Our holidaymakers from home and abroad respond to the imagery which in turn inspires them to holiday in Ireland,” she said.
