This month’s lecture/presentation at Damer House Annex is given by Susan Chadwick, Genealogist, entitled ‘Discover your roots, an introduction to family history and genealogy’.

These talks/presentations are proving very popular and anyone with any interest in family history should go along. The admission is a modest J2 and the presentation is on Wednesday 19th March at 7.30pm sharp. With a background in IT, Susan was initially engaged as a tutor before moving on to project management at a software company in Dublin. She started researching her own family tree in 1997, using various avenues to track down long-lost relatives. Encouraged by this success, she continued tracing her maternal line in Ireland back to the 1650’s. From this sprung her love of genealogy and set the path for her future career. Living in Co. Offaly, Susan is centrally located to carry out research throughout Ireland.
