Cllr Denis Ryan drew attention to the problem of horses on the Gantly Road, at this month’s Templemore Area Meeting.
“There’s a field on the Gantly Road, where horses have damaged a fence,” he said. Senior Engineer John Jones said the Council was liaising with landowners in the area. Five fence panels had been broken.
Meanwhile, Rosemary Square is becoming a “bit of bottle neck” with the amount of traffic, added Cllr Ryan, who called for ease of access for pedestrians visiting the Medical Centre.
Mr Jones said it was not an “easy problem to solve,” but that engineers were looking at the “top of the Square” for a solution.
