Cut Loose festival launch

The ‘Cut Loose’ country and Irish festival returns to Holycross GAA field in July when a top line-up of international acts will converge on the picturesque village to take to the stage.

An incredible line-up of stars will be in attendance on Sunday July 20th and the entertainment value will be second to none thanks to the efforts of the hard working committee under the Chairmanship of Deputy Michael Lowry - former player and official with the club, division and county Boards.

Featuring a stellar line-up of legends, that includes Jimmy Buckley, Mike Denver, Declan Nerney, Michael English, Robert Mizzell and Louise Morrissey, this unique event promises to be the country festival highlight of 2014!

Folks still speak fondly about the inaugural festival in 2012 and the follow-up last year which was even bigger and better. The third annual festival will be a step up once more and the committee is promising the best of facilities, parking, catering, music and of course plenty of dancing on the day on the specially laid dancefloor in front of the stage. This has been a major hit previously and organisers are predicting that the July 20th event will surpass the last two by some distance.

The key element to making this festival such a success has been the massive voluntary effort on the part of members of Holycross Ballycahill GAA club. They work long and hard to ensure that the facilities are in top notch and when the crowds have left the grounds on Sunday evening, they return the grounds to their original condition in a matter of hours. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed and the work has been praised from far and near.

Gates open at 12 noon for this unique, outdoor event and non-stop entertainment will be provided throughout the day until 7pm. A large dance-floor will facilitate those that wish to dance to the performances and ample seating is also available. Concert-goers will enjoy easy access to and from the festival venue with ample parking on-site, in addition to a host of hospitality facilities that includes a full alcohol licence and food services to cater for all palets. Tickets, priced at just €20.00, are available at local outlets which are displayed on the www.cutloosecountryfestival.com website.

So, mark a date in your diaries to see some of Ireland’s premier Country and Irish acts this July - there can be no better reason to ‘cut loose’ and dance, listen and enjoy!
