Coonan welcomes funding for four Tipperary schools

Tipperary TD Noel Coonan has welcomed funding for accommodation and emergency works at four Tipperary schools from the Department of Education and Skills.

Deputy Coonan said: “Templetuohy NS has been allocated money for roof repairs, St Joseph’s NS Ballingarry has been allocated funding for mechanical works, Scoil Mhuire NS Newcastle, Clonmel, will receive a mainstream classroom while CBS Primary School, Nenagh has also been given monies for improvement works.

“This is very positive and uplifting news for all four schools and will come as a huge relief to numerous member of staff and families across the county.

“Any enhancement of facilities in our schools is warmly greeted and I will continue to pursue Minister Ruairi Quinn for further funding for Tipperary schools,” said Deputy Coonan.
