Cllr Morris seeks cost of merging North and South Tipperary councils

Sinn Fein councillor and local election candidate Seamus Morris has asked North Tipperary County Council to provide him the breakdown of costs incurred so far in relation to amalgamation for a number of specific areas.

He has also asked for a breakdown of predicted costs up to June 1, 2014.

Cllr Morris has asked that the figures include capital costs for buildings in Clonmel, Nenagh and Thurles; Information Technology costs; costs for change of logo, including stationary costs; travelling costs for council staff travelling between Nenagh and Clonmel and vice versa and any proposed increase in wages for any staff member in the future.
