Meals on Wheels

Cashel Meals on Wheels will host their coffee morning on Wednesday 18th December from 10am to 1pm in St Vincent De Paul House John St Cashel. Cashel/New Inn Hockey

Cashel/New Inn Hockey Club are currently joint second in the table with Catholic Institute. Cashel/New Inn had an impressive 6-1 win over Cork team, Ashton in Rockwell on Saturday. Goals from Emma Shanahan, Suzanne O’Connor, Cliona Sheehy and Margaretann Conney, saw the combination team lead 4-0 at the break. On resumption, Ashton broke through the home defence to score a goal, the setback galvanised the Cashel/New Inn girls in greater effort and they sealed their victory with further goals from Suzanne O’Connor and Margaretann Cooney. Emma Shanahan, Julie Murphy, Rachel Purdue, Marykate Shanhan and Clare Cremmins kept the Ashton backs busy. Cliona Sheehy, Margaretann Cooney and Suzanne O’Connor were dominant in midfield. Maire O’Neill, Roisin Moloney, Mary Cooney, Helen Horan, Katie O’Connor and the ever reliable Caroline Maher in goals ensured that Ashton didn’t get anymore scores on the board. Cashel/New Inn will now face CoI in Garyduff in Cork at 2.30pm on Sunday the 15th of December in their first cup game. The new Cashel New Inn U14s team had a very successful run this week end in Clonmel. They played Waterford in the first game winning 4-1. The girls were buzzing heading into the second match of the day scoring an impressive 9 goals against the hosts Clonmel. It is the first year Cashel New Inn have had an underage team. U14s who played in the blitz in Clonmel Avril Hall, Avril Ryan, Ciara Nyland, Orla Cashmann, Claire Bennett, Caoimhe Perdue, Laura Dudley, Roisin Heffernan, Kate Kavanagh, Jill Murphy, Jill Shanahan, Meave Clarke, Grainne Moloney. We also have an U12s team. All under age training takes place in Rockwell at 6.45pm on Tuesday nights.
