A protest against the ongoing conflict in Palestine/Israel was held in the Plaza in Cashel on Saturday.

Cllr Martin Browne expresses his gratitude to all who turned up at the rally in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza. A large crowd made it clear that the “slaughter must stop”, said Cllr Browne, and they heard calls for our Government to be more active in calling for a ceasefire to allow humanitarian aid to take place, also they demand a lifting of the three year blockade which prevents the people of Gaza from receiving basic needs like food- medical supplies-water and electricy.

Cllr Martin Browne would like congratulate our own Kerrie Ann Croddock and the Irish Womens Rugby team who have reached the semi final of the world cup. They reached this stage by winning all three games in their group with the win over tournament favourites the All Blacks as the pick of these.
