Brave transition year student Conor Devlin, who is battling to improve facilities for teenagers between 13 and 17 years of age with acquired brain injuries (ABI) has said that he is happy at the reception he got in Dáil Eireann last Tuesday week.

Conor (15) from Annacarthy used the occasion of the first anniversary of his own accident to present almost 4,000 signatures from pupils all over County Tipperary calling on politicians to address major deficiencies in the services for young people. Conor traveled to Dublin with his parents Michael and Catriona and brother Paul, with a number of his TY class mates from Rockwell College. Conor said: “Politicians in the Dail have taken note of what I was saying. We’ve been invited back again in three months time when politicians will have considered our petition and proposals.” Conor and mum Catriona also appeared on Ireland AM and were interviewed on Newstalk.
