Nenagh's Ashlawn nursing home gets top marks in Hiqa inspection

A Nenagh nursing home has received a clean bill of health for its dementia unit from the Health Information Quality Authority (Hiqa)

Ashlawn nursing home at Carrigatoher was inspected last February under health and social care needs; safeguarding and safety; residents' rights, dignity and consultations; complaints procedures; suitable staffing and safe and suitable premises.

The unit was found to be compliant in all areas.

The inspector focused on the care of residents in the dementia specific unit. The inspector met residents, relatives, and staff members during the inspection.
