By any standards this is a remarkable achievement. Saroj only came to CCS in 2012 having come to Ireland from Katmandu in April of that year to visit his parents and younger brother who live in Dundrum. Both his parents work in Alley’s Nursery and Garden Centre and have so since arriving in this country twelve years ago. His brother Sudesh, is a 2nd year student in CCS and plays hurling for Kickhams GAA Club.

While on school holidays in Dundrum, having completed his Junior Cert equivalent in Nepal, his father suggested to Saroj that he should stay on here and complete his second level education in Cashel Community School. He was very brave as he had little English but from his very first day that decision has been vindicated. Saroj is full of praise for all aspects of CCS from the building, to the teachers and a course his fellow students whom he found to be very friendly and helpful. The amount of school holidays was a pleasant surprise, especially the three months in the Summer.
