Tim Hennessy and Jenny handed over the cheque to the parent’s association who are doing fantastic work fundraising for the playground. The money raised will go to installing a stationary bicycle in St.Anne’s purpose built new playground.

The playground will be a fantastic resource for the pupils, and will offer stimulating and fun exercise equipment suitable for all abilities. The clubs involved were delighted with the event and are happy to be invited back again next year to run the event again.

There was great turn out from Roscrea, Birr, Portumna and Ossory Cycling Clubs and from cyclists from far and near. We received a lot of positive feedback from the event. Jenny from the parent’s association thanked the organisers Pearse, Tim and Pierre who helped run such a successful event. The sponsors who helped with the event were excellent and are happy to help again next year. Particular thanks goes to Bikepark.ie, Carroll Meats, Stapletons Bread, Mulrooneys Gala and Supervalu Roscrea. The Principal of the School and the resident Sisters were delighted with the event and thanked us all for organising such a good and positive event. There was great goodwill and generosity shown on the day.
