Moorehaven Invitational Cup

Moorehaven CupThe inaugural Moorehaven Invitational Cup kicked off on the 15th October 2013 in the Canon Hayes Centre, Tipperary Town. Supported by South Tipperary Sports Partnership (STSP) the Moorehaven Cup was competed for by a number of services throughout Tipperary including brothers of charity, the Moorehaven centre and Rehab Care Knocklofty. Moorehaven won the day with performances that wouldnt be out of place in the Aviva stadium. However they only narrowly defeated a skilful Knocklofty team 4- 2 in a nail biting final. STSP and the Moorehaven Centre would like to thank Eddie Jones for volunteering to referee on the day. He certainly had his hands full in what was a fiercely competitive competition.Due to the initial success of this programme plans are already a foot to grow the competition with teams in Cashel and Clonmel declaring an interest in hosting the Moorehaven Cup. For more information on this competition please contact Vincent Foley, South Tipperary Sports Partnership, 062-64738 vfoley@
