Things are going very well this year for Inane Rovers Gaelic Football Club Roscrea.

2012 thus far has been extremely successful for the club having four titles in the bag.

The year got off to a great start with a presentation night in Roscrea Golf club for Inane’s five representatives on the Thomas McDonoughs County Senior Football winning team. It was a very enjoyable night with a good crowd in attendance. Framed photos were presented to the lads by new chairman Declan Russell.

Well done again to Liam England, David Buckley, Jim McDonnell, Joe Carroll and Jack Feeney. Also on the night a presentation was made to outgoing chairman Jimmy Cunningham for his outstanding service to Inane and football in Tipperary. Finally the evening was capped off with a presentation of a beautiful new set of jerseys from our main sponsor Bernie’s SuperValu Roscrea. The club extends its gratitude to Bernie and Brian Colclough for their continued support for Inane.

Primary Blitz: 2012 is the second year of our Liam Carson Memorial Blitz. Dromakeenan N.S., Corville N.S., Scoil Eoin N.S., and Sacred Heart N.S. served up some wonderfully entertaining games played in a sporting yet very competitive manner. The final was a tense affair between Corville and Sacred Heart having drawn their earlier encounter. However Corville finished strongly and won out 2-3 to 0-4 winners. Well done to all schools and a special thanks to their teachers for helping out.
