Defibrilator For Liberty Square

The first ever defibrilator will be located on Liberty Square in the Arch Bar, following an initiative by Pat Hayes (Jnr) to provide the life saving machine. The proceeds from the well known local hostelry’s Christmas Draw 2011 have been put to good use and Pat is hoping to spread the message wide and loud that a defibrilator is now available to the general public in the Arch Bar should the need arise in or around Liberty Square.

“We thought this would be a great project to get involved in and seven of us from the Thurles Lions Club actually received training through a five hour course in how to operate and manage the machine. Hopefully, the machine, and one of us, will be available if it is ever required.,” Pat told The Tipperary Star.
