The launch of the North East Tipperary Multi -Agency Initiative took place on Monday June 29th at 1pm in the Abbey Hall Roscrea.

Michael Lacey Chairperson of the Mid-West Regional Drugs & Alcohol Forum officially launched the initiative. Michael gave an inspirational speech on substance misuse and related issues and how communities have had to learn to deal with such issues through the years.

The various Agencies that are part of this initiative gave presentations on the services they offer. It’s hoped that the launch will highlight what services are now available in North Tipperary and encourage people to avail of them. It is also open to families and friends affected by a loved one’s drugs or alcohol abuse.

This Multi-Agency Initiative is provided by Ana Liffey Drugs Project, Novas Community Detox, Bushy Park Treatment Centre, C.A.S.P. Community Substance Misuse Team, HSE Drug & Alcohol Service, in a safe and confidential setting and is co-ordinated by the Mid- West Regional Drugs & Alcohol Forum. The Agencies can be contacted through the drop-in service held every Tuesday from 12 noon to 2pm in the Roscrea Stands Up office, Castle Street, Roscrea.
