Many thanks to everyone who turned out for last Thursday’s walk up Barnaboy Hill behind Killavilla.
Unlike the last few evening walks, where the weather has been spectacular, this night’s walk was a big change with low cloud and sudden showers, but, as usual, this didn’t deter the regular walkers from enjoying the night. This Thursday evening’s walk will be up along the Silver River in Cadamstown. This is an ideal opportunity for people to learn about the history and geology of the area and to get more training in for the hike up Ard Erin and the picnic afterwards on September 21st.
So why not join us on these very social events where the only requirement is the ability to put one foot in front of the other and who knows, you might even enjoy it. Meeting as usual are at 7pm at Mulrooney’s Gala on the old Dublin road or log on to www.walkingireland.com or Facebook walkingireland.com. We hope to see you there. (Don’t forget to add your e-mail to our data base so that we can keep you informed of events).
