successful year comes to an end for the Scout Group, it’s

time for the annual

Leaders Social event

Before the Social Group’ s annual get-together got underway, group leader Francis Minogue addressed the gathering to thank all the leaders for their service and efforts during the last year.

During the last few months a number of leaders completed their leader training and were presented with their Woodbeads.

These included Sandra Carter, Ray Ryan, Gillian Wallace, Sinead Bourke, Padraig Bourke, Allison Dollard, Kevin Geraghty and Mark Lown.

Service awards were presented to Ronan Foyle (10 years) and Keith Morton (5 years).

A number of meritorious awards were also presented by County Commissioner Paddy Lynch to leaders for their exceptional service to the Scout Group.

To mark the 3rd anniversary of the establishment of the Tuesday Cubs, Tuesday Beavers and Wednesday Beavers their Section Leaders Conor Abbott, Kevin Geraghty and Sandra Carter received Chief Scout Commendations of Merit. Mark Lown for his service to the Scout Section and Seamus Browne for his service to the Thursday Cubs were also worthy recipients of the Chief Scout commendation of Merit.
