Cllr Imelda Goldsboro is taking action to preserve the picturesque village and surrounding areas of Glengoole.
This area is increasingly becoming a litter black spot and especially over the Christmas period, says Cllr Goldsboro.
“Numerous concerned residents have highlighted this issue to me and they have indicated that rubbish was even dumped on Christmas Day. Items are varying from everyday household waste to washing machines, furniture et cetera.” Cllr Goldsboro was in Glengoole last Thursday to assist with clean-up in this area. She would like to thank Kieran Mc Kenna, Executive Engineer with Tipperary County Council, the members of the environment section and local Area Overseer Thomas Fitzgerald “who all fully supported and acted in an effective and efficient manner to have this issued addressed”.
