Clonmel restaurant ordered to close for breaching food safety rules

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has reported that 15 Closure Orders and one Prohibition Order were served on food businesses during the month of October for breaches of food safety legislation.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has reported that 15 Closure Orders and one Prohibition Order were served on food businesses during the month of October for breaches of food safety legislation.

The Orders were issued by health officers in the HSE. One of the 15 food outlets ordered to close was Pagar Gardens (restaurant), based in the Ormonde Centre, Prior Park, Clonmel. The proprietor, Mr Alex Leong, was ordered to close under the FSAI Act, 1998. The order was issued on October 23rd, and lifted on October 31st.
