The derelict Munster Hotel in Thurles, situated on Cathedral Street, has been purchased by local man Martin Healy for an undisclosed sum, we can reveal this week.
It might be the most recently built hotel in the town, but the Munster has had a very chequered past since it was sold some years ago, razed to the ground, and a new hotel built.
Now, another new era for the premises has dawned and Mr Healy is extremely pleased to have acquired the property and is making plans for it’s redevelopment. Already a number of hotel groups have been in contact with the Two-Mile-Borris man expressing interest in leasing.
