Ryan’s Notice of Motion Supported Unanimously

Thurles Town Council is to seek a meeting with the GAA hierarchy in Croke Park to discuss tourist and visitor potential for Thurles, which is to be maketted more as the birthplace of the GAA.

In a Notice of Motion to the council, Cllr Jim Ryan suggested that a huge opportunity to promote the town is being missed and he put forward the idea of a museum being housed in Semple Stadium rather than Lar na Pairce, where visitor numbers are so low.
