Ninety seven days after he announced that he was quitting the Tipperary senior hurling panel to pursue business interests, former Hurler of the Year, Lar Corbett is back in harness in what has been described as “a timely boost” to The Premier County’s prospects for 2012.

Ninety seven days after he announced that he was quitting the Tipperary senior hurling panel to pursue business interests, former Hurler of the Year, Lar Corbett is back in harness in what has been described as “a timely boost” to The Premier County’s prospects for 2012.

The Thurles Sarsfields star walked away from the panel on Monday 6th February after informing Manager Declan Ryan at his home in Clonoulty that he was withdrawing from the squad. But, the lure of the game could not keep the multiple Allstar winner away and by May 13th - three days short of his 31st birthday- the announcement was made that he was back.
