The Late Andrew Hiney - The death occurred recently at St. James Hospital, Dublin of Andrew (Andy) Hiney of Dolphin’s Barn, Dublin. He was born and raised in Church Street, Rathdowney and spent his life there before moving to Dublin. He had been ill for a while. He is very sadly mourned by his wife Kathleen, son Patrick, grand-daughter Claire, sister Kathleen, cousins, relatives, friends, neighbours and all from Rathdowney who knew Andy. Reposing was at Massey’s Funeral Home. Removal took place to Dolphin’s Barn Parish Church. Requiem Mass was celebrated and followed by burial in Old Bawn Cemetery. May he rest in peace.

Pantomime - The 2011 Pantomime will be held in the Community Centre, Rathdowney on Thursday, March 31st and continuing until Sunday, April 4th. There will be two showings on Sunday with a matinee at 3 p.m. ‘Pack Up All Your Troubles’ is
