Nenagh Gardai probe attempted break-in at Tyon

The Gardai in Nenagh are investigating a burglary at a house in the Tyone area last Friday night. The alarm was raised at around 8pm after windows were broken in the house, which is beleived to have been unoccupied at the time. The culprits failed to gain entry and it is believed nothing was taken.

Meanwhile, a car was stolen from Tullaheady some time between 8.30am and 4.30pm last Thursday. The injured party reportedly parked the car and went to work. When he returned, the car was gone.

Gardaí arrested a male under the Public Order Act at Ciamaltha Meadows in the early hours of Saturday morning. The offender was reportedly roaring and shouting at 1.20am. At 11.45pm on Saturday, also at Ciamaltha Meadows, a youth was arrested for trespass.

A small quantity of cannabis was seized when two males were searched by gardaí in Newtown, Nenagh, around 9pm last Thursday.

In Newport, Gardaí are investigating an incident in Cill Phádraig between Tuesday and Wednesday in which a car was scraped.
