The Gardai have said they are not treating the death of Pearse O’Brien, whose body was found in a house in Nenagh on Monday afternoon as suspicious.

The discovery of the 23-year-old male was made at Bruach Tailte on the Borrisokane road on the outskirts of the town at around 4.30pm. The scene had being preserved for a technical examination. It is believed he may have died from natural causes.

Pearse returned to Ireland from Australia last April but had been working in Saudi Arabia recently and it is thought he may have been considering a move back to Australia in the New Year as he has a sister living there.

Meanwhile, Pearse’s father Matthew, who has yet to discover what his son died from, has described the 23-year-old as “happy-go-lucky”.

“He was a very easy-going and loved spending time with his friends,” said Mr O’Brien.
